Onion (Pyaaz) Pakora Recipe




  • Onion –4 (cut length wise)
  • Besan Flour-2cups
  • Maida-2 tbsp
  • Jeera-1tsp
  • Asafoetida-1/4tsp
  • Chilli Powder-1tsp
  • Turmeric Powder-3 pinch
  • Baking Soda-2pinch
  • Butter-3tbsp
  • Coriander leaves-1/4 cup
  • Salt to Taste

How to make Onion (pyaaz) Pakora:

  1. Cut onion thin lengthwise.
  2. Add salt to it.
  3. Keep aside for 5 – 10 minutes.
  4. Add Jeera, Besan atta, Rice flour, Red Chilli powder and chopped coriander leaves to onion – salt mixture.
  5. Mix nicely.
  6. If required use little water (Onion mixed with salt leaves water).
  7. Don’t make the batter too dilute.
  8. In kadai heat oil.
  9. Put one spoon full of batter in to oil.
  10. Fry until brown in color.
  11. Serve with Chutney/Tomato Ketchup.
