HOMEMADE PANEER TIKKA PIZZA

I marinated the paneer just as we do for the paneer tikka, and then made the pizza. It sure had a difference.The spicy paneer is just a treat along with the cheesy pizza. I usually top only with only onion,tomato and capsicum, but this paneer tikka is a nice spicy add as a topping.

Ingredients

All purpose flour/Maida 1& 1/2 cups
Active dry yeast 3/4 tblsp
Milk 1/4 cup
Water 1/4 cup
Sugar 1/2 tblsp
Salt 3/4 tsp
Olive/cooking oil 1/8 cup

Topping

Pasta sauce/pizza sauce 1 1/2 tblsp
Onion 1/2
Tomato 1/2,Chopped, De-seeded.
Capsicum 1/2,chopped
Panner tikka As needed
Mozzarella cheese For topping
Italian seasoning For topping
Paneer tikka
Paneer cubes 1/2 cup
Hung curd 2 – 3 tblsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Crushed black pepper 1/2 – 1 tsp
Tandoori masala powder 1/2 – 1 tsp
Lemon juice from 1/2 of a lemon
Ajwain/omam 1 tsp
Salt and oil As needed
Marinate the paneer cubes with other ingredients and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

Refer here for the basic pizza dough recipe and the method.Flatten the pizza dough with rolling pin,roll the edges and spread the sauce.

Sprinkle required cheese and then top with chopped onion,tomato,capsicum,paneer cubes. You can toss the paneer cubes on tawa before topping it.

Pre-heat oven to 1900C and bake it for 13-15 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.

Notes

  • Proof the yeast if you are doubtful that its is active or not. Only a good quality yeast will give spongy pizzas. Otherwise it will turn hard.
  • Heat the milk just till it turns warm. Add the yeast and sugar to it. Mix well until the yeast dissolves. Keep a side for 10 minutes. It should rise and become frothy. Then only the yeast is active. Otherwise need not proceed making the dough.
